Coaching should use an established model as a framework. The framework does not tell you how to coach but rather supports the underlying structure for your coaching. It builds on what has been learned from earlier chapters, especially these key points.
The establishment of a relationship built on trust, unfeigned communication, and confidentiality,
the formulation of client-based agreed-upon goals and expectations,
a deep questioning and learning dynamic in relation to the chosen goals.
For this assignment, you will do the following:
Read Chapter 11.
Understand the models shared for instructional coaching.
Use the GROW model
Develop a presentation that you could use during your first coaching session. The presentation should include the following:
Your name and who you are.
Why you are an instructional coach? What makes you qualified to be in this role?
The name and explanation of the chosen model.
The style of coaching the model provides (you may need to do some research to find this!).
Description of how the model will assist with coaching and mentoring.
Anything else you would like to include.
Reference slide and in-text citations within the text of the presentation.
