It must be include american policing as it relates to criminal
procedure, and requires the student to cite at least four (4) sources
independent of the assigned textbook or PowerPoints.
Ideally, the student will select a topic that may be controversial, such as a
current or pending criminal court case, then present a clear problem
statement and present a solution to that problem citing your opinion backed
by real-world examples, research, or other documentable instances that lend
credence (not Wikipedia). The student must thoroughly examine the topic
from all perspectives, and should, in the paper, present alternatives to any
counter-argument to their own position in the paper.
The length of the assignment is a seven (7) page paper, citations and cover
page not included, which must follow the Written Assignment Expectations
as listed in this document. Written assignments that have been submitted
to another class will not be accepted and will result in a zero.
